We went to the Bata Shoe museum – a quirky, fascinating stomp through the history of shoes (as it suggests on the box). We cooked a bit (Bob showed me how to make risotto properly), ate, drank, walked, talked…
And endured the heaviest rain that we have had since we’ve come to Toronto (poor Pride parade people looking drenched as we watched from the ‘sun room’ (rain room?) in the apartment.
The Supreme Court rulings on gay marriage and upholding Obamacare came out when they were here – much relief, and ‘what happens next?’
We went to an LCBO to look for a drink called ‘aperol’ for Bob to make a cocktail with – there was a woman in the store also looking for aperol – when told that there wouldn’t be any until mid-July ‘what are we supposed to do???‘ Hmm. I think there’s some somewhere in Toronto:
